      Technical Large Animal Rescue Course

We are thrilled to bring world renowned expert, Dr. Rebecca (Gimenez) Husted, to Western Washington for the first time to instruct a Technical Large Animal Emergency Rescue Awareness course.

She has literally written the (text)book on Large Animal Rescue and continues to travel all over instructing on the equipment, methodologies and tactics used behind the safe extraction of a live large animal from entrapments (trailer wrecks, ditches, mud, barn fires) and in local emergencies and disaster areas. This class was incredibly eye opening and informative about what could happen in emergency situations and how you can best be prepared to handle them.

This 2-day intense training will show you the proper way to respond and prepare for large animal emergencies. The TLAER training courses introduces the latest concepts, techniques, procedures and equipment being used today – to learn to work together on a scene and build a great incident action plan, then extricate the animal safely for both the animal and responders.

The cost for this two day course is $200 and that includes a light breakfast and coffee in the morning, snacks and beverages throughout the day and lunch will be provided both days.
